Our Background

Josh and Lisa Beckmann have based their Bazadaise Breeding Program on their property approx 35km west of Mackay, Qld at 49 Tirendis Road, Marian Q 4753.  Beckland Bazadaise Stud was formally approved late 2014 with the addition of "Jacket" the Fullblood  2014 Ekka Junior Champion Bull.

With an extensive background in cattle since the early 1990's, Josh has worked with a range of different breeds of cattle on various properties throughout Queensland before settling back home in the Mackay Region.  Having produced and eaten home grown cattle for most of his life, it was a clear cut decision to invest in the Bazadaise Industry having seen the proven results.  The return for investment is something of the future for the cattle industry, particularly those producers closer to the slaughter process obtaining their returns from carcase weights.

Beckland Bazadaise Stud is focused on offering good quality breeding stock for both bazadaise stud breeding and cross breeding for large scale primary producers.  Our goal is to produce a beast that is beneficial to both producer and butcher whilst offering excellent taste and tenderness for the consumer's satisfaction.  We believe choosing Bazadaise cattle achieves this goal as it is the only breed offering exceptional flavour and tenderness whilst achieving higher carcase weights.
